Switch to Battleplan
Bring your team over from the app or calendar you use now, so nobody starts over. A team admin does it, in Battleplan: open your team's menu, tap Import, and choose the app. You'll see a preview of everything before it's added. Nothing imported sends notifications, and importing again adds only what's new. RSVPs and attendance stay behind.
From GroupMe
Messages, photos, files, and events.
- On a computer, go to web.groupme.com and sign in.
- Click your profile picture, choose Export my data, then Create export. If GroupMe asks which chats to include, choose only your team's group.
- When it's ready, download it from Export my data: a .zip file. A large export comes in parts; import each one.
- In Battleplan, open Import, choose GroupMe, and choose the .zip file.
- Pick your team's group, choose what to bring (messages, with or without photos, documents, and events), check the preview, and tap Import.
If the export has all your GroupMe chats, that's fine: only the group you pick is imported, and your other chats never leave your device. Messages keep everyone's GroupMe names and the original dates. Likes, polls' votes, and videos aren't imported.
From TeamSnap
Your schedule, players, and files.
- Schedule: in TeamSnap on the web, open your team's Schedule, then Settings, then Sync Calendar / Export, and copy the calendar link. On an iPhone: Schedule, the share button, then Subscribe.
- Players: on the web, open your team's Roster, then Export, then Export CSV File.
- Files: open the Media tab, then Files, and download the ones you want.
- In Battleplan, open Import, choose TeamSnap, then paste the link, choose the roster file, and choose the files. Check the preview, and tap Import.
Players come with their names, numbers, and birthdates; coaches and contact details stay behind, and guardians link themselves to their players. TeamSnap doesn't export its chat.
From TeamReach
Your schedule.
- In TeamReach, open your team's schedule and choose the option to subscribe to it in a calendar app (iCal). Copy the calendar link.
- In Battleplan, open Import, choose TeamReach, paste the link, check the preview, and tap Import.
From GameChanger
Your schedule.
- In the GameChanger app, open your team and tap the gear, then Schedule Sync, Sync Schedule to Your Calendar, and Copy Calendar Link.
- In Battleplan, open Import, choose GameChanger, paste the link, check the preview, and tap Import.
Games come in with the opponent and home or away. Coaches, players, and guardians get every event in their link; followers get only games.
From Google Calendar
Your events.
- On a computer, open Google Calendar and go to Settings.
- Under Settings for my calendars, choose your team's calendar, then Integrate calendar, and copy the Secret address in iCal format.
- In Battleplan, open Import, choose Google Calendar, paste the address, check the preview, and tap Import.
Keep the secret address private: anyone who has it can see that calendar.
